Bekker Primary offers both summer and winter sports, with specialist teachers and coaches.

Bekker has well maintained sports facilities. Sport is offered at both the competitive and the recreational level as all learners are encouraged to participate. Our emphasis is on the enjoyment of sport.

Learners are rewarded for their efforts though team awards, merit awards, half colours as well as full colours. Learners also receive awards for participation, dedication and commitment.

The following sports are offered:
Juniors: TAU rugby, mini-netball, mini-cricket and mini-hockey.
Seniors: Athletics, Netball, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, Swimming, Chess, Cross Country
Extracurricular activities: Karate, Ballet and Dance. Music
