Hostel Financial Information – 2026
Welcome to all our existing and new parents.
We trust and hope that you and your family will have a long and happy relationship with Bekker Primary School and our staff.
The parents’ virtual budget meeting took place on 27 October 2025.
The following fees were proposed and approved:
1. Fees for 2026
The hostel and computer fees for 2026 are R55000.00 per child per year. Fees are payable over 11 months. Please note that you will receive a separate invoice for the hostel fees, payable into its own account.

2. Payment Options
Option A – Yearly (before end of February 2026)
- Hostel fee: R 50 000 per year per child
Total: R 50 000 per year per child
Option B – Per Term

Option C – Monthly (before the 7th, by EFT)
- Hostel fee: R 5 000.00 per month
The first payment for January can be made at the office on the first day of school (cash or card) or via EFT. Bring proof of payment if paying by EFT. Card facilities are available, but cheques are not accepted.
If you pay the full amount before the end of February, you qualify for the yearly discount, but you still need to pay January’s amount on the first day.
3. Hostel Check-in
All hostel learners and their parents/guardians must report to the hostel on 13 January 2026 between 10:00 and 17:00. We will not be able to assist after 17:00.
Please note that we will not be able to assist on late arrivals
4. Stationery Packs (Grades 1–3)

Please ensure your child has a school bag with dividers to protect books and textbooks.
The School and Hostel Codes of Conduct are available on our website. Please read and sign the acknowledgement slip to confirm you agree.
5. Important Financial Rules
- Fees are strictly payable in advance (e.g., pay January fees by 1 January).
- No payment arrangements will be allowed in 2026.
- Fees must still be paid before the 7th of each month even if you receive your salary later.
- All fees must be fully paid by 7 November 2026.
- If your account is one month in arrears, your child will become a day scholar from the 10th of the month until the account is settled.
- On the first day of each term, parents must report to the financial office if there are outstanding amounts.
- Repeated late payments may lead to being required to pay the next term’s fees upfront.
It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure they receive statements.
Statements are emailed on the last Friday of every month. Inform the office in writing if your email address changes.
